Glenn “Walt” Ayers

Turtle Creek HS:  BASKETBALL- 3 year starter, Captain senior year, All-WPIAL team, Honorable Mention All-State. 

Clemson University:  4 year scholarship, Freshman team captain- ranked #3 by “Basketball News” in 1964 

Coaching Career:  Student assistant at Clemson; Head basketball coach at Bluefield College, Bluefield, VA 1993-1998- Coach of the Year 1993-1994 and 1995-1996,  team won Conference Championship 1993-1994;  Athletic Director and head basketball coach Northridge High School in Dayton, OH. 

Bob and Bill Duvall 

American Legion:  BASEBALL- played on first team sponsored by Pitcairn 1945; section title 1946; 1951 both played on League Champions, East McKeesport Lions 

Westminster College:  BASEBALL; co-captains 1958, won PA State Title; Bill played every inning for four years with team leading .398 batting average. 

Joe “Tinny” Duvall 

Pitcairn Mohawks:  FOOTBALL- played on first team; Lightweight Champion of Western PA 1921,1923, and 1924 

Wilkinsburg High School:  FOOTBALL- 1922 WPIAL championship and named state champions 

Pitcairn American Legion:  BASEBALL- organized by Tinny, 1945; section champions next four years; Western PA title 

Other:  Gateway school district school board; pushed for hiring of Pete Antimarino as football coach 

Tom Komenda 

Braddock High School: FOOTBALL- three year starter, varsity four years; 1966 Mon-Valley All-Star game 

Clarion University:  FOOTBALL- 3-year starter, MVP 1970; ECAC All-East and All-State teams 1969 and 1970; NAIA District 18, PSAC West 1970; Dutch Bowl All-Star game 1970

William “Bill” McDonald 

Wilmerding High School:  FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, BASEBALL- 3 year letter-earner 

Cincinnati University:  FOOTBALL- lettered four years; 1949 Glass Bowl, 1951 Sun Bowl 

Coaching Career:  Latrobe HS and Braddock HS assistant; Hopewell HS head coach; Indiana University of Pennsylvania assistant; Edinboro head coach 1969 until retirement- 1970 Division II Lambert Bowl champions 

Other:  Founding board member of Erie County YMCA 

Inductions:  Beaver Valley Hall of Fame 2000 

Reynold A. Peduzzi 

Trafford High School: FOOTBALL- lettered four years, undefeated team 1949 

Geneva College: FOOTBALL-  lettered four years, 2nd team All-State Small Colleges 1954; Outstanding Lineman 

Other:  Director of Secondary Education, Diocese of Greensburg 1993-1998; Penn-Trafford HS Principal, 23  years; Mayor of Trafford 1993-1998; Football Committee 1970-1992; Original committee member of WPIAL to reorganize football program 1970; Council member Trafford 1999 on 

George Pekich

Coaching Career:  Penn Hills High School- Head Volleyball coach; 1965 State Championship, 1967 WPIAL tile 

 Bob Trautwine

Indiana University of PA:  1966 graduate 

Coaching Career:  East Allegheny track team- Head Varsity track coach, 1969; 0 time Conference Champs, won 28 consecutive dual meets 1973-1976, 29 boys qualified for state meets, coached  5 WPIAL AAA Champions including 1978 WPIAL track MVP 

Other:  Began East Allegheny track Invitational 1973; “Life Time” track and field Achievement Award by Tri-State Track Coaches Association; East Allegheny Athletic Director 1989-1999; member WPIAL Track & Field Committee, President WPIAL A.D.
