Football:  North Braddock Merchants  

Kline Fulton 

Sandlot baseball:  1924-48, played third base or short stop, Forest Hills, Westinghouse Airbrake, Milliken Brick, Swissvale, Homewood and Dormont, Bill McKechnie said Kliney’s play was on par with many major leaguers 

Bowling:  Airbrake duckpins team, Anderson’s team 20 years- won 12 championships 

Baseball:  Organized/managed Forest Hills Colt baseball team 

Football:  1955, Organized/coach Forest Hills Midget football program, 137 pound team began each season Labor Day vs. Bill Lickert’s McKeesport Little Tigers

FOOTBALL:  1930-33 under Coach Paulie, halfback, team Captain senior year 

Carnegie Tech:  Football scholarship under Howard Harpster and Bill Kern, played powerhouses like Notre Dame, Pitt, Purdue, Holy Cross, Duquesne; All-American Honorable Mention sophomore year, ankle injury affected junior and senior years 

Service:  Army Air Force, WWII, rank of Captain

John “Chan” Nese 

East Pittsburgh High School

BASKEBALL:  three years, Section 16 Basketball Player of the Year senior year (24-4 record), advancing to State Class B finals 

Steubenville College:  Basketball, 1957-58 team record 24-1, name No. 1 Small College team in country, Co-captain senior year, received most improved and best defensive player awards 

Coaching Career:  St. Anthony High School Follansbee, WV basketball team won Catholic League State Class B Title, Assistant coach at East Pittsburgh, then took over Steubenville Central Catholic basketball and baseball programs, Basketball teams won three sectional and 3 district titles in 10 years, Baseball teams won seven section, five district and one regional title, elected Co-Coach US All-Stars 1973 Dapper Dan Round Ball Classic

Tennis:  Competed in many tournaments, Western Pennsylvania Amateur Tennis Singles title 1938
